Dermatoscopic examination of moles, or dermatoscopy, includes examination of moles on the skin of the entire body, scalp and visible mucous membranes. When examining moles, we use a dermatoscope – an optical instrument used to magnify the image of skin changes. It is used for early detection of melanoma; diagnostic accuracy is increased and unnecessary surgeries for ordinary moles and benign changes are avoided.
Mole removal
When removing a skin change or birthmark, the patient receives local anesthesia and no hospital recovery is required.
